Job summary

Academics is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with ADHD and Autism in a mainstream primary setting in Greenhithe, Dartford. The role covers KS1 and KS2 with daily classroom collaboration.

You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised strategies, fostering inclusion, resilience and emotional well-being for all pupils.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD and Autism.
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • Confidence across KS1 and KS2.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Greenhithe, Dartford

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Greenhithe, Dartford on a full-time, long-term basis.

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with ADHD and Autism to achieve their full potential within a mainstream school setting.

The Role:
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, particularly those with ADHD and Autism.
  • Work with both small intervention groups and larger classroom groups.
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support strategies.
  • Promote an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD and Autism.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Confidence working across KS1 and KS2.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to helping every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
