Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Orpington, Kent. The role is full-time and long-term, supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.

You will work with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored strategies and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom culture. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEN, including ADHD and Autism, and possess patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills across KS1 and KS2.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Orpington, Kent

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Orpington, Kent on a full-time, long-term basis.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

The Role:
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, particularly those with ADHD and Autism.
  • Work with both small intervention groups and larger classroom groups.
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support strategies.
  • Promote an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD and Autism.
