Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Redhill, Surrey is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time roles across local schools. The positions are term-time and temporary-to-permanent opportunities, offering valuable classroom experience and the chance to make a difference for pupils with additional needs.

You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, work with SENCOs, and help implement tailored learning strategies in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school, care, nursery, youth work or similar).

  • Patience, resilience and adaptability are essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the patience, enthusiasm, and dedication to help young people achieve their full potential?

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools across Redhill. These are full-time positions, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Support pupils both academically and emotionally to help them reach their full potential.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, trusting relationships.
  • Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have previous experience working with children or young people (school, care, nursery, youth work or similar).
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
