SEN Teaching Assistant

Primary school in Haringey

Full-Time (term-time only) immediate start or ASAP

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Haringey, currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real impact on their learning and development.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
• Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual targets.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
• Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable).
• A caring, patient, and flexible approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A good understanding of safeguarding practices.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are advantageous but not essential.
