Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across the Thanet area. You’ll work closely with teachers to enable access to learning and help pupils develop confidence and independence.

Experience in education is welcome, but transferable skills from care or youth work are also valued. Tradewind offers training, CPD access and ongoing support throughout placements.

Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is currently working with a number of SEN schools across the Thanet area who are looking to recruit dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech and Language needs
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Complex medical and sensory needs

You’ll help pupils access learning, develop confidence, build independence and celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small.
