Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant for a school in Guildford on a day-to-day basis or long-term contract. The role requires suitable GCSEs in English and Maths, with Level 2/3 TA qualification desirable.

You should have experience with children, especially in SEN, and possess strong communication, empathy, patience, and resilience. An enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one is requested.

We are searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school based in Guildford on a day-to-day basis / long term contract basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• High levels of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day
