Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school in Guildford on a day-to-day basis or long-term contract. You will support pupils with special educational needs, assist with classroom routines and behaviour management to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Role requires GCSEs in English and Maths and a TA qualification is desirable. DBS with update service or willingness to obtain one is expected.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably SEN.
• DBS via update service or willingness to obtain one.

Job description

We are searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school based in Guildford on a day-to-day basis / long term contract basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• High levels of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day
