Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support students at a Guildford school on a day-to-day basis or for a longer-term contract. The role emphasizes assisting pupils with varied learning needs and contributing to an inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will hold GCSEs in English and Maths, a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is desirable, and be ready to complete a DBS update service check.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard).
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

We are searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school based in Guildford on a day-to-day basis / long term contract basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• High levels of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day
