Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join a Guildford school on a day-to-day basis or long-term contract. This role supports pupils with special educational needs and requires resilience, empathy, and reliable attendance.

Working hours are 9:30-3:30, with a daily salary of £88-£100. The ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths, a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification desirable, and DBS clearance or willingness to update.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience with children or young people, preferably SEN.
• Strong communication, patience, emotional resilience, and proactive approach.
• Empathy and professionalism; build trust with vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to undergo one.

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• High levels of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day
