Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school in Guildford on a day-to-day and long-term contract basis. The role focuses on supporting pupils with special educational needs and working closely with teachers.

Requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths, a Level 2/3 TA qualification if possible, and DBS checks or willingness to undergo one. Working hours are 9:30 to 3:30, salary £88-£100 per day.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience with children or young people, preferably SEN.
• DBS on update service or willingness to undergo one.

Job description

We are searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school based in Guildford on a day-to-day basis / long term contract basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
• High levels of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day
