Job summary

Provide Education is seeking a SEND Teacher for a temp-perm position in Retford. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN and work with the SEN team to implement EHCP targets. A QTS or equivalent is essential, with experience in SEN settings and strong behavior-management skills.

The role offers a daily rate of £120–£225, with weekly pay, and a chance for long-term roles across Nottinghamshire. DBS checks are required as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent essential.
• Experience teaching in SEN or specialist setting.
• Knowledge of Makaton/PECS and sensory strategies.
• Strong behavior-management and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN.
• Support pupils in KS1–4 with bespoke, sensory-aware strategies.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists and staff to meet EHCP targets.
• Track progress, provide feedback and report outcomes.
• Create an inclusive classroom that promotes independence.
