Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher in Redcar to plan and deliver tailored lessons for pupils with SEND, building confidence and inclusion in every session. The role focuses on inclusive strategies, collaboration with staff and families, and monitoring progress to support academic, social and emotional development.

Candidates should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and have experience with SEN.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.

• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• DBS update service or eligible to obtain one.

We're working with a number of welcoming schools across Redcar and are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs. What You'll Be Doing

• Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels valued.
• Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
• Monitoring progress and adapting teaching approaches to help pupils succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
• Working closely with teaching assistants, families and external agencies to provide the best possible outcomes for students.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Understands inclusive teaching strategies and can adapt learning to suit individual needs.
• Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Holds a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
• Is patient, empathetic and committed to making a positive impact.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
