Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a passionate SEND Teacher to join our network across Teesside and Darlington. You will deliver personalised interventions, support EHCP targets, and work with SEN teaching assistants to inspire learners with diverse needs.

The role emphasises safeguarding, well-being, and hands-on learning in inclusive environments. A recognised teaching qualification with SEND experience is essential, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS) and have experience teaching SEND students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and enabling pupils with diverse needs to reach EHCP goals.
• Able to adapt teaching style to individual learners and maintain positive behavior in class.

Your Role:

• Inspiring & Personalised Teaching: You ll work across a variety of classrooms in the heart of Teesside and Darlington, tailoring your teaching to support individual students with SEND. With the help of experienced SEN teaching assistants, you ll deliver personalised interventions that help children reach their targets and achieve the goals in their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

• Creating Positive Learning Environments: You ll manage classroom behaviour with care and understanding, following the school s behaviour management strategies to create a calm and productive environment where every child can learn and thrive.

• Safeguarding & Well-Being: You ll be dedicated to the safety and well-being of your students, following the school s safeguarding procedures and ensuring that every child is supported and protected.

• Engaging & Hands-On Learning: You ll guide children to explore and enjoy the curriculum through a wide variety of learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, sparking their curiosity and passion for learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• You are passionate about helping children with SEND and believe every child deserves the chance to succeed.
• You hold a recognised teaching qualification and have experience working with SEND students.
• You re patient, empathetic, and committed to providing the best possible support for children, regardless of their individual needs.
• You re confident in adapting your teaching style to support the diverse needs of each child in your care.
• You are eligible to work in the UK.
