Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to join partner SEN schools in Chigwell, delivering engaging lessons to pupils in both primary and secondary settings. This full-time, long-term role starts ASAP, with opportunities for permanency.

You will support learners to access learning, build confidence, and progress toward EHCP targets, collaborating with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams in a supportive, well-resourced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet diverse additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
