TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a Primary SEN Teacher for a community day special school in Birmingham. The role is long-term with an immediate start for pupils aged 3-11 with severe and complex learning difficulties.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, working closely with support staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment where pupils can progress.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and candidate must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience teaching primary pupils is essential.
• Experience supporting children with severe and complex learning difficulties is required.
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs.
• Strong classroom management and effective communication are essential.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to implement learning plans.

Primary SEN Teacher

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £170 - £220 per day

Are you a qualified Primary SEN Teacher with QTS and experience supporting pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties?

Do you have the patience, resilience and adaptability to create an engaging learning environment for children with complex additional needs?

Are you passionate about helping primary-aged pupils develop their confidence, independence and access to learning?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a community day special school in Birmingham supporting 94 pupils aged 3-11 with severe and complex learning difficulties. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan, with individual needs assessed through a range of professionals to ensure they receive appropriate specialist support.

The school is looking to appoint a Primary SEN Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Primary SEN Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual needs, work closely with support staff and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment where pupils can make progress.

The successful Primary SEN Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching primary-aged pupils
• Experience supporting children with severe and complex learning difficulties
• The ability to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet individual needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
