Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is currently seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to join trusted primary and secondary SEN schools in Billericay. The positions are full-time, long-term placements with potential to become permanent, with start dates ASAP.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, support pupils with additional needs, and collaborate with SEN staff to monitor progress and implement EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation using diverse strategies.
• Collaborate with SEN staff, therapists, and school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

Job Type: Full-Time (5 days a week), Long-Term / Temp to Perm

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Billericay (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• PGCE or equivalent training
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary)
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
