Job summary

Remedy Education in Billericay seeks an energetic SEN Teacher to support both primary and secondary pupils with additional needs. This full-time role starts ASAP and offers long-term opportunities with potential for permanent placement.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt content to EHCP targets, and collaborate with SEN staff and therapists to progress pupil outcomes. A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach is essential in dynamic classroom settings.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• PGCE or equivalent training is required.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education is beneficial.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Billericay (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• PGCE or equivalent training
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary)
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
