Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an SEN Teacher to work in Billericay-based SEN schools (primary & secondary). This full-time, long-term role may lead to permanent placement.

Start date ASAP, with ongoing support in a range of settings to help pupils access learning and reach their potential. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt curriculum for diverse needs, manage behaviour, and work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Billericay (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom
