Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher for immediate starts in Billericay. You will work across primary and secondary SEN settings, delivering tailored lessons to support pupils with additional needs and EHCP targets.

The role offers long-term placement with potential to become permanent, with strong collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. You will plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms effectively, and adapt curricula to varied abilities while fostering an inclusive

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training is required.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report pupil progress in line with school expectations and EHCP targets.

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Billericay (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectationsImplement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• PGCE or equivalent training
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary)
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
