Qualifications

  • Experience in SEN School or Specialist Provision
  • TA experience in SEN setting
  • Mainstream school experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Experience with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • Experience with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
  • Experience with SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs)

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Start Date: September 2026/ Jan 2027

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher who believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive? We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring professional to join our Foundation Stage team, supporting children aged 3 5 years with a range of special educational needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver creative, child-centred learning experiences that meet the individual needs of pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will use a play-based approach to encourage curiosity, communication, and social development while adapting teaching strategies to ensure every child can achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and the wider school team, you will provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

Essential Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

  • SEN School or Specialist Provision
  • Teaching Assistant (TA) experience within an SEN setting
  • Mainstream school experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
