Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking an SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Edgware, starting in September. The role is full-time, with pay in line with MPS/UPS, focusing on pupils with profound learning difficulties and complex needs.

You will plan differentiated lessons, monitor progress, support communication and independence, and work with a team of assistants, parents, and professionals to ensure each child reaches their potential. QTS required; experience with SEN is preferred.

Responsibilities

SEN Teacher – Profound Learning Difficulties – Edgware

Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in the Edgware area, starting this September.

This full-time role is ideal for a teacher with experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties (PLD) and complex additional needs. The successful candidate will be patient, compassionate, and adaptable, with a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their individual potential.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated, and accessible learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of pupils. You will monitor and assess pupil progress, support the development of communication and independence skills, and work closely with teaching assistants, specialists, parents, and carers to ensure each child receives the appropriate support to thrive.

  • Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs
  • Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly profound learning difficulties and/or complex needs
  • Passion for supporting the development of learning, communication independence, and life skills
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
