Remedy Education is helping a group of SEN schools in Billericay recruit dedicated SEN Teachers for both primary and secondary settings. The roles are full-time, long-term with potential to become permanent and start ASAP.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with diverse additional needs, collaborating with SEN support staff to monitor progress and meet EHCP targets. A resilient, adaptable approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • PGCE or equivalent training.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
