Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking SEN Teachers for a range of Billericay schools, spanning primary and secondary SEN settings. Start ASAP, full-time five days a week, with long-term or temp-to-perm placements.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs and work with support staff to ensure inclusive learning. This role focuses on helping pupils access learning, building confidence and progress, with EHCP targets and ongoing professional development in a supportive school

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary and/or secondary).
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings.
  • Adapt curriculum content for a wide range of needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Work with SEN staff, therapists and school teams.
  • Monitor, assess and report pupil progress per school expectations.
  • Implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Support positive behaviour management across the classroom.
