Job summary

Remedy Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to work in Billericay with primary and secondary SEN settings. Qualifications

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
PGCE or equivalent training.
Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
