Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join our well-resourced SEN school in Billericay. The role covers both primary and secondary cohorts, starting ASAP, with full-time, long-term prospects and a supportive consultant.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with communication and emotional regulation, and work towards EHCP targets within a calm, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Maintaining a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
