Job summary

Remedy Education is currently working with a network of SEN schools in Chelmsford, seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to join immediately. You will support children with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop confidence in a supportive classroom environment.

The role offers long-term placements across primary and secondary SEN settings, with opportunities for permanent progression within well-resourced schools.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
  • PGCE or equivalent training required.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
  • Good classroom management and behaviour support skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Use strategies to support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
  • Monitor, assess and report pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
