TimePlan Education Group Limited is recruiting an Autism SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Rochdale. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for 11-16 students with ASC, aligned to EHCP outcomes, in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Join a cohesive team on an immediate long-term basis, with a strong focus on safeguarding, student wellbeing and positive behaviour. QTS/QTLS preferred; DBS check and references required.

Qualifications

  • Ideally hold QTS or QTLS (or relevant specialist experience).
  • Experience teaching students with Autism/ASC.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to diverse needs and EHCP outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for ASC pupils.
  • Teach students with Autism / ASC and support communication and learning.
  • Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and the school team.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise potential.

Are you a passionate SEN Teacher with QTS or QTLS looking for a rewarding long-term teaching opportunity?

Do you have experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a genuine commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment?

A specialist school in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Autism SEN Teacher to join its supportive team on an immediate, long-term basis.

The school caters for young people aged 11-16 with Autism / ASC and additional learning needs. The school boasts a modern building with fantastic facilities and resources, providing an excellent environment in which both students and staff can thrive.

You'll be joining a cohesive, close-knit team where staff genuinely pull together, creating a real family feel across the school. Everyone works collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

As an Autism SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Teach students with Autism / ASC, adapting your approach to support communication, engagement and learning.
  • Create a structured, nurturing and positive classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team to provide consistent support.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure students can achieve their potential.

Person Specification

To be considered, you should:

  • Ideally hold QTS or QTLS (or have relevant teaching experience within a specialist setting).
  • Have experience teaching or supporting students with Autism / ASC.
  • Be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of additional needs.
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience and excellent classroom management.
  • Be passionate about helping young people develop academically, socially and emotionally.
