Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an Autism SEN Teacher with QTS or QTLS for an immediate, long-term role in a specialist school in Rochdale. You will teach ASC students aged 11-16, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and supporting EHCP outcomes.

Qualifications

  • QTS or QTLS is required.
  • Experience teaching students with Autism/SEN.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for a range of needs.
  • Patience, resilience and strong classroom management.
  • Commitment to helping young people develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Teach students with Autism/ASC and support communication and learning.
  • Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and school team to provide support.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to achieve outcomes.
