Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an Autism SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Rochdale, supporting students aged 11-16 with ASC and additional needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes and work closely with Teaching Assistants to secure progress.

This is an immediate, long-term full-time role with a supportive, family-like team and a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold QTS or QTLS (or have relevant teaching experience within a specialist setting).
• Have experience teaching or supporting students with Autism / ASC.
• Be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of additional needs.
• Demonstrate patience, resilience and excellent classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Teach students with Autism / ASC, adapting your approach to support communication, engagement and learning.
• Create a structured, nurturing and positive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team to provide consistent support.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure students can achieve their potential.
