Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Bristol. We are working with a highly supportive and progressive specialist school in Bristol that is seeking an SEN Teacher to join its growing team. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and communication needs. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, pastoral staff and families to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Flexible, resilient and committed to inclusive education

Experience within SEN settings is desirable but not essential.
