Outcomes First Group is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to deliver personalised lessons for pupils with SEND at Copper Fields School in Gunnislake, Cornwall. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, inclusive environment and support each pupil to reach their potential.

Qualified teachers with SEND experience will plan and adapt lessons, monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching children and young people with SEND is required.
• Able to create inclusive learning environments where every child feels valued and supported.
• Capable of delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and building positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised lessons meeting pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to ensure access to learning for all pupils.
• Monitor and assess progress, using evidence to inform future teaching and celebrate achievement.
• Create nurturing, structured learning environments promoting confidence and independence.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development through positive approaches.
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff, families and external professionals for holistic support.
• Contribute to annual reviews, progress meetings and pupil reports.
• Engage in wider school life, including enrichment activities and visits.

Job description

As an SEN Teacher, you'll deliver engaging, inclusive and ambitious learning tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEND. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you'll create a safe and positive learning environment where every achievement is celebrated and every pupil is supported to reach their potential. For candidates with the relevant experience and ambition, there is also the opportunity to take on a Subject Responsibility role, helping to shape and develop an area of the curriculum across the school. You'll build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, helping young people develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for life beyond school. What You'll Be Doing

• Planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet pupils' individual learning needs, EHCP outcomes and developmental targets.
• Adapting teaching approaches, resources and communication methods to ensure every pupil can access learning successfully.
• Monitoring and assessing progress, using evidence to inform future teaching and celebrate achievement.
• Creating nurturing, structured and engaging learning environments that promote confidence and independence.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development through positive and relational approaches.
• Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff, families and external professionals to provide holistic support.
• Contributing to annual reviews, progress meetings and pupil reports.
• Playing an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.
  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching children and young people with SEND, or can demonstrate a strong commitment to specialist education.
• Understand the importance of creating inclusive learning environments where every child feels valued and supported.
• Can deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to a wide range of learning needs.
• Are skilled in building positive relationships and supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Thrive as part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team.
• Have aspirations to develop curriculum leadership skills or previous experience leading a subject area.
