Job summary

Papworth School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a dedicated SEN teacher to deliver engaging, personalised learning for pupils with additional needs. You will support academic, social, and emotional development, while collaborating with therapists and families to provide holistic care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs is essential.
• Creativity, patience and adaptability with the ability to build strong trusting relationships.
• Passion for inclusive education and commitment to helping every pupil reach their potential.
• Thrive in a collaborative team and be keen to develop professionally.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

• Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.
• Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
• Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship-based approaches that build confidence and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed.
• Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.

Papworth Hall School is in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Our new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for 30 students. For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
