Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a growing team at a modern two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton. Role involves supporting pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with ASD, SEMH and SLCN, providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support, and helping pupils access learning.

We are looking for patient, nurturing and confident individuals with experience in SEN support who can foster emotional regulation and positive engagement within the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASD, SEMH, SLCN).
• Experience in Reception and/or Key Stage 1 (KS1).
• Patient, nurturing and confident approach with children.
• Comfort with using visual timetables and communication aids.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with SEN needs (ASD, SEMH, SLCN).
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group SEN support to enable access to learning.
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and classroom routines.
• Adapt EYFS & KS1 activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO and wider support team.
