Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd is recruiting an ASD Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in Kenilworth. You will provide 1:1 support to KS2 pupils with ASD, PDA and ADHD, working with the class teacher, SENCO and SEND team to implement individualised learning plans.

The role is term-time, with a view to permanence for the right candidate, and involves supporting pupils to access learning, manage emotions, and develop greater independence while maintaining a calm, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD, PDA and ADHD.
  • Experience in a UK primary school and knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • 1:1 support with adaptable approaches to meet each pupil's needs.
  • Experience delivering targeted interventions 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, nurturing learning environment.
  • Ability to monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for KS2 pupils with additional needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in 1:1 and small groups.
  • Support the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team.
  • Assist pupils to access learning and develop independence.
