Job summary

Remedy Education is working with a well‑resourced SEN school in Epping/Ongar to appoint a patient SEN Teaching Assistant. You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping pupils with communication and engagement.

Role includes following EHCP targets, personal care where needed, and working with teachers and the SENCO to maintain a calm, structured learning environment. Immediate start, long‑term role with progression.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Epping/Ongar that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
