Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced SEN school in Epping/Ongar, supporting both primary and secondary pupils. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication and EHCP targets, and work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create a calm, structured learning environment.

The role is full-time, long-term with ASAP start and potential for permanent placement, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant and a rewarding

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to work across primary and secondary age groups.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Epping/Ongar that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
