Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Halifax Primary Schools. The role is available to both full-time and part-time applicants, term-time only, with a daily rate of £92-£110.

The successful candidate will support students with special educational needs, plan and deliver small group or one-to-one tutoring, and assist teachers to ensure inclusive progress. Prior experience in education or childcare is valued; DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 certificate in Early Years/Childcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience with young children in educational or childcare settings.
• Basic first aid certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Assist classroom teachers to enable SEN students to participate and progress.
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed.
• Maintain excellent communication with colleagues, students and parents/carers.
