Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support learners across Halifax primary schools. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, behaviour management, and resource preparation within an enabling learning environment.

Candidates with experience in schools or childcare are welcomed; a DBS Update Service is advantageous or willingness to obtain one. Flexible full-time/part-time temporary and permanent opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Assist pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support children with additional learning needs where required.
• Prepare learning resources and classroom activities.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise children during lessons, break times and activities.
