Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Huddersfield is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary students, including those with special educational needs. Roles include group and 1:1 tutoring, assistive support in lessons, and managing break times.

A passion for welfare and development is essential, with DBS checks provided. Both full-time and part-time applicants are welcomed, term-time work is available, and pay is £92-£110 per day including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
• Basic first aid certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Assist teachers to ensure SEN students participate and make progress.
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers.
