Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Huddersfield to support pupils in primary schools during term-time. The role offers both full-time and part-time options, with pay around £92-£110 per day.

The successful candidate will assist with SEN students, support small group and one-to-one tutoring, and help maintain a positive learning environment in collaboration with teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.
• Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
• First aid certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Assist classroom teachers in ensuring SEN students participate and make progress.
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers for clear communication.
