Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support SEN children in Wolverhampton. You will provide 1:1 support, help pupils build confidence and assist with learning activities in welcoming primary schools.

The ideal candidate has recent 1:1 SEN experience, a Level 2/3 TA/Childcare qualification, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). The role offers flexible hours and ongoing consultants support to match your preferences.

Competenze

  • Recent experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs.
  • Previous experience delivering medical care is advantageous but not essential.
  • Confidence working independently whilst also being an effective member of a wider classroom team.
  • A patient, caring and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.

Are you a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant who is experienced working very closely with SEN children in the Wolverhampton area looking for a flexible role within a supportive SEN school environment?

We are seeking an patient and reliable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development across welcoming and well-established primary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping pupils build their confidence, develop key skills, and to give overall support with their highly complex needs.
