Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child returning to school on a full-time basis from the Autumn Term. Based in Wolverhampton, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored activities and ensure the pupil's learning, wellbeing and safety throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
• Experience supporting children with complex needs.
• Previous experience delivering medical care is advantageous but not essential.
• Confidence working independently whilst also being an effective member of a wider classroom team.
• A patient, caring and flexible approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.

Based in Wolverhampton, this school benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible from Dudley, Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
