Job summary

Teacher Active is seeking a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Worksop and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 support, small group assistance, and helping students engage with learning in mainstream and alternative settings.

You should have experience with SEN/SEMH needs, a calm, patient approach, and strong behaviour management. The position offers flexible day-to-day and longer-term placements with market-leading pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Ability to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support, work with small groups or in the classroom.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils across settings.
