Job summary

Step Into Teaching partners with a fantastic school in Redbridge, seeking graduates passionate about helping children and young people as SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistants. The role offers a 35-hour week during term time and a rewarding environment focused on safeguarding and student development.

You will work with a team of professionals to support students aged 11–16, building confidence and achieving goals day by day, while developing your own skills within a supportive programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (2:2) required.
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to work well in a team; empathetic and resilient in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 11–16 from day one.
• Build relationships and support students with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Collaborate with experienced staff to develop skills and confidence of students.
• Contribute to a caring, positive school environment in Redbridge.
