Job summary

Academics is seeking a caring SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Redbridge primary school from September 2026. The role offers full-time, 1-year contract with day rates of £92–£120 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Have previous experience supporting children, particularly within a school or educational setting.
  • Demonstrates patience and resilience when supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
  • Able to build rapport with children and maintain calm, positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Help children manage emotions, behaviour and social situations.
  • Encourage pupils to engage positively with learning and develop independence.
