Job summary

Academics is seeking a caring SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Redbridge primary school from September 2026. The role offers full-time, 1-year contract with day rates of £92–£120 depending on experience.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help pupils manage emotions and behaviour, and work closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom. Ideal candidates have prior experience in schools, strong rapport-building skills, patience and resilience, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Have previous experience supporting children, particularly within a school or educational setting.
• Demonstrates patience and resilience when supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Able to build rapport with children and maintain calm, positive relationships.
