Job summary

Academics Agency is recruiting SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to start ASAP across Doncaster's specialist schools. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and build confidence.

Adapt lesson plans to fit each learner, turn challenging behaviour into progress, and collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.

Qualifications

• Qualified or experienced Level 3 TA or equivalent.
• SEN-savvy with experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Calm, patient, flexible and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one quickly.
• Two strong professional references ready to go.

YOUR MISSION (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT):

• Be their champion-supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building confidence and core skills.
• Think on your feet-adapting lessons, resources, and approaches to fit each unique learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress-using positive, tailored strategies that build self-esteem and engagement.
• Collaborate like a pro-working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.
• Embrace every challenge-from sensory sensitivities to speech delays, you'll meet each child where they are and take them further.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Qualified or experienced-Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy-you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
• Calm under pressure-patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS-ready-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one fast.
• Reference-perfect-two strong professional references ready to go.
