Job summary

Academics is recruiting SEN Secondary Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible across Sheffield's specialist schools. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, adapting instruction to fit each learner, and collaborating with teachers and families to track progress.

You will bring Level 3 TA experience, SEN-savvy approaches, and calm, solution-focused thinking to every day. Roles are term-time, temporary, with weekly pay and flexible placements in well-regarded Sheffield settings.

Qualifications

  • Qualified or experienced-Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
  • SEN-savvy and able to adapt, connect, and inspire.
  • Calm under pressure and solution-focused when things get tricky.

WHO YOU ARE:
  • Qualified or experienced-Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
  • SEN-savvy-you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
  • Calm under pressure-patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
  • DBS-ready-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one fast.
  • Reference-perfect-two strong professional references ready to go.
