Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Leigh. The role is full-time and ongoing until July 2027, with a focus on delivering tailored lessons to a small group of children with diverse SEN needs.

You will collaborate with the SENCO, parents and support staff to ensure inclusive, effective education. The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, has primary school experience with SEN, and is committed to fostering an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Patience and adaptability to support diverse SEN needs.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, LSAs and external agencies.
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to obtain/update DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored lessons for a small SEN cohort in a primary setting.
• Adapt the curriculum to individual needs and EHCPs.
• Track progress and set meaningful next steps for students.
• Collaborate with SENCO, parents, LSAs and external agencies to provide holistic support.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where every child can thrive.
