As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will use your strong subject knowledge to make Maths accessible, engaging and achievable for learners with a range of additional needs. • Have experience working with or supporting vulnerable children, young people or adults, ideally within education, care, mentoring, coaching or a similar setting.

  • Be confident adapting lessons and using different approaches to engage learners with SEN, SEMH, ASC or other additional needs.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and provide consistent encouragement and support.

  • Be patient, resilient and able to remain calm when managing challenging situations.

  • Have high expectations for every learner while recognising that individual students may require different levels of support.

  • Be committed to helping students develop not only their Maths skills but also their confidence, independence and wider educational engagement.

What can Tradewind Recruitment offer?

  • Working through Tradewind gives you access to a wide range of partner schools and specialist settings, meaning we can match your skills and preferences to suitable opportunities. Whether you're looking for a full-time long-term position, short-term supply work or the opportunity to explore different SEN environments, we can help you find the right setting.

  • You will also have access to CPD and professional development opportunities, alongside dedicated support from your specialist recruitment consultant throughout your placement.
