Job summary

Tradewind Education is seeking a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Doncaster on a full-time, short-term basis, starting ASAP.

You will deliver engaging maths lessons across the secondary age range, assess progress and maintain high standards of behaviour and progress. ECTs are welcome to apply and you will be supported by a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths to secondary students.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons and manage classes.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Tradewind Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work on a full-time, short-term basis at a secondary school in Doncaster, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or ECT looking to join a supportive school environment and make a positive impact on students' learning and progress.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
• Teach engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
• Differentiate lessons and resources to support individual learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff.
• Contribute to departmental planning, assessment and school initiatives where required.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
• Follow the school's safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising student attainment and achievement.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach.
• An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
